Chiang Rai
Finally, our first real holiday of the year! We flew to Chiang Rai (north eastern Thailand) this morning and landed in lush green mountainside in time for lunch.
The Le Meridian is heavenly. Huge open reception area over looking the Kok (that is not a typo unfortunately) River, which is a large off-shoot of the Mekhong River that we all know.
After exploring the city centre (if you drive too fast you miss it) and having an insanely Delish curry lunch, we are. Ie lying poolside/riverside trying to unwind.
Yay.
Posh Trolley
We do a weekly shop together, generally at Emporium Food Hall as it has the best fruit, veg and fish section.
I have always hated massive trolleys, I think the fear comes from pushing a flat-bed around Makro on our first year in Phuket.
Anyway, on our joint trips Robbie has the bulk-buy trolley and I have the ‘Posh Cart’ which ONLY contains posh food. Like organic eggs, vine tomatoes and peeled-de-seeded-segmented Australian oranges and mulberry juice.
I even have sausages called POSH
